Level 3 - Lead Climbing Course 

Level 3 involves an introduction to lead climbing on ice. This course is designed for climbers with a solid basic technique. Participants must have mastered the movement on WI 3 with sufficient margin to take this course.

The aim of this course is for the participants to be able to lead ice climbing with good control. The focus is on efficient climbing, belay devices, anchors, abseiling anchors (V anchors) and communication. This course combines several key elements needed for a good day out on frozen waterfalls. Both single-pitch and multi-pitch routes will be used.

The course is spread over two days.
