Outdoor Tournament + Normal Rafting Tour
Welcome to the Wilderness Camp for a combination of the popular Outdoor tournament and rafting. This is the package for social activities, mastery, excitement and nature-based experiences.
Customise your own package in our booking portal. Remember to select a departure for both outdoor tournament and rafting.
The outdoor tournament is a social and enthralling activity where teamwork is the key. No one needs special skills. That way everyone starts on an equal footing. The outdoor tournament is Opplev Oppdal’s most popular team activity and is suitable for groups of six to 160 people. The various activities are not too physically demanding. We can adjust the activity to make it more demanding for those wanting extra challenges or milder for those wishing to take it easy.
The medium level rafting trip is a diverse and exciting and will suit most adults. After beginning in relatively calm water, you will experience a variety of exciting rapids. You will also have a chance to try cliff jumping during this trip. This is a medium level trip, but the guides are good at adapting the level of excitement to suit the wishes of the participants.
Practical information:
The activity takes place outside in all types of weather on forest paths. The terrain is a bit rough in places but not steep. The group is divided into two teams, the guides show the way and explains how to do the various activities. Our guides adapt the course to suit the group. Activities include axe throwing, archery, the giant puzzle game, labyrinth, the memory game and more.
Arrive at the rafting centre for check-in approx. 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. After check-in, it’s time to change into our rafting gear and divide up the rafting teams. The first couple of kilometres are gentle and your guide will provide paddling instruction and a safety briefing before we reach the first rapids. The total distance we raft down the river is 14 km. When we reach the end of our trip, transportation will be waiting to take us back to the rafting centre where you will be welcome to have a hot shower if you wish.
This trip is graded 3-4 out of 6 on the international scale of river difficulty.
The minimum age is 15 but varies depending on the river level:
-
When the river level is high, which often occurs in June, the minimum age is 18 and the trip is graded 4+.
-
When the river level is lower, the minimum age for children accompanied by an adult is 12 and the trip is graded 3. This generally occurs in late July and lasts for the rest of the season.
The flow or river level depends on snow melting and rainfall.
